Growing in popularity procedure for natural skin anti-ageing

We all know that skin ageing hastens wrinkle formation.
It’s that simple. If your skin could maintain its moisture and elasticity then half our wrinkle problems would not exist.
For many years, however, we could only treat the wrinkle, until now!

Latest advancements in dermal filler techniques and products have allowed us to inject micro droplets of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) beneath the skin to restore skin hydration and create an environment for collagen and elastic production.

How does the treatment work?

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a naturally occurring polysaccharide in the body.
The molecule is most present in the skin and its primary function is to attract and bind water in the skin.

As we age we lose HA and this dehydration in the skin leads to skin ageing.

By replacing lost HA molecules throughout the skin we effectively reverse the signs of ageing.
With added moisture, your skin will plump and thicken and many minor wrinkles will disappear.
A natural glow will return to your skin and you will literally turn back the clock.

It is important to note that Skin Rejuvenation is not a wrinkle treatment.

What is the procedure like?

Dr Cobus at Wellnessthetics has two options when injecting micro droplets of HA into your skin.

  1. He can use a micro-cannula to inject droplets beneath the skin.
This option offers the least amount of risk and is virtually painless.
The micro-cannula is blunt tipped and greatly reduces bruising and bleeding to the treatment site, plus there are fewer entry points using this technique.

  2. Dr Cobus can use a sharp needle to inject multiple punctures and droplets beneath the skin.
This option allows for greater control of placement

Each treatment session will last approximately one hour, and for best results, Dr Cobus recommends that you undergo three treatments spaced one month apart for the initial treatment, and then every six months as maintenance.

Combination treatments

Skin Rejuvenation treatments are great to combine with Botulinum Toxin type A and Dermal Filler treatments and they also work well with Chemical Peels too.
Achieve skin hydration and then treat only the stubborn troublesome areas, makes sense doesn’t it?
