Dr. Cobus graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1997, and his pursuit of knowledge led him to earn his BScMedScHons (Cum Laude) from the University of Stellenbosch in 2001. Having gained invaluable experience in the United Kingdom, where he specialized in Emergency and Intensive Care Medicine, he became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007. After six years abroad, he made the decision to return to South Africa to continue his medical journey.

Throughout his career, Dr. Cobus has actively engaged with various medical associations, demonstrating his commitment to the advancement of healthcare. He has been an influential member of the South African Medical Association (SAMA), serving as the Chairperson for the West Rand Branch from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, he has been an active participant in the Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine Society of South Africa (AAMSSA) for the past four years. Dr. Cobus played a pivotal role in the establishment of the South African Association of Cosmetic Doctors (SAACD) and facilitated SAMA’s affiliation with both AAMSSA and SAACD. Furthermore, he is a proud member of the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM) and attended the esteemed Congress held in Miami in 2012.

Recognizing the growing trend in aesthetics towards embracing both external beauty and internal wellness, Dr. Cobus envisions expanding our practice, Dr. Cobus & Associates, to incorporate various aesthetic treatments, including Botulinum Toxin Type A, Dermal Fillers, Chemical Peels, and more. In addition to these aesthetic offerings, our practice will provide holistic treatments for depression, counseling, and general medicine. By integrating these services, we aim to address the overall well-being of our patients comprehensively.

Dr. Cobus’s expertise extends beyond the confines of our practice. He is a recognized congress speaker, delivering educational presentations on aesthetic medicine at esteemed conferences such as the World Congress of Aesthetic Medicine in 2013.
